What to expect
Each camp day includes a variety of activities including gallery exploration, behind the scenes experiences and hands-on crafts, games and experiments. Please note campers will go outside for a “recess” each day, weather permitting.
Annual passes must be active and valid for the discount to be activated. “Active” means a physical card has been issued at the Aquarium. Purchasing an annual pass online does not make a pass active. The booking system validates the annual pass using the email address of the pass holder. Still having trouble? Call the Education office for assistance. As long as the annual pass is active prior to the start of your camp week, the discount can be applied retroactively.
Each camper will receive an aquarium camp T-shirt (which they are required to wear every day), access to the aquarium for the week and all onsite camp activities!
Indoor shoes, reusable water bottle, lunch (please note we strive to keep a nut free environment and ask you to refrain from sending nuts and nut products to camp), a snacks (if necessary), weather appropriate clothing (weather permitting, we will go outside for a recess period every day), and a change of clothes.
The minimum instructor to child ratio for aquarium camp is 1 to 12. Our instructors are marine and child education enthusiasts with training in First Aid and CPR.
Aquarium campers will truly be able to explore the wonderful world of water! Once signed in, each morning will begin by interacting and adventuring through the “gallery of the day”! They will then participate in a variety of gallery inspired activities both inside and out. After campers have refueled with lunch and some unstructured play time they will enjoy a dive show, special guest talk and/or behind the scenes journey. Each exciting day will conclude with a fun wrap up and activity.
Please visit our Parking & Directions
page. Pick-up and drop-off information will be provided closer to the camp start date.
Unfortunately Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada is unable to provide one-on-one supervision, adapted programing or specific medical support and those requiring such must be accompanied by a support worker. Please notify us if a support worker will be attending camp with your child.
Extended care hours run from 8am-9am and 4pm-6pm and will include educational movies, games, and quiet activities. You may purchase extended care at an additional weekly flat rate. Please note we do not offer a daily rate. Inform your child’s instructor if you would like to pick them up earlier on specific days.
Please make sure you are on time to pick up your child. We love caring for them but our staff has their own families to get home to. We do reserve the right to charge you an additional $1.00 per minute late. If you know you are going to be late please contact the Camp Coordinator at 647-351-3474 ext 2648.
Click the link above, or the “Buy tickets” button at the top right of the page to register for camp. Please check your e-mail (including junk folder) as the primary method of correspondence will be email.
A $60 non-refundable administration fee per child applies if you wish to cancel registration. If written cancellation is received a minimum of 15 days prior to the program start date, a refund (less the non-refundable $60 admin fee per child) will be provided. No refunds will be provided for cancelations 14 days or fewer prior to the program start date.
