NEW Workshops in 2014!

Scout groups of all levels are invited to visit the Aquarium and work towards earning a patch!

Our NEW workshops meet requirements for Girl Scout Journey’s, Skill Building Badges and Boy Scout Badges. Come to the Aquarium for a 2-3 hour*, comprehensive workshop that includes admission after the program, a guided tour through the Aquarium, hands-on activities and a complimentary workbook and participation patch set. Workshops are offered from June to January on Saturday from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm (upon availability). A minimum of 10 scouts is required. If you have another date you would like to request for a workshop, please feel free contact us and we will try our best to accommodate.

* Time frame is dependent upon which workshop / skill building badge you choose as well as group size.

Girl Scout Workshops:

Girl Scout Skill Building Badges:

  • Animal Habitats
  • Animal Helpers
  • Night Owl

Girl Scout Legacy Badges:

Boy Scout Workshops:

  • Webelos – Naturalist
  • Boy Scouts – Mammal Study, Oceanography, Reptile and Amphibian Study, Soil and Water Conservation

Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies provides only a participation patch for each scout. If you would like to present your scouts with a specific patch after the program, you should visit the scouting office prior to your workshop date to purchase.
